Date Smoothie (Vegan Breakfast Smoothie)
For a drink that is made under 10 minutes, this smoothie sure does a lot with its nutrient-dense ingredients and naturally rich flavours.
Due to the high sugar content in dates, this smoothie doesn’t require any additional sweeteners (although you can use maple syrup or sweetened nut butter to add to the sweetness).
Made with oats, banana, chia seeds, dates, nut butter and plant-based milk, this drink makes an ideal breakfast smoothie. You can also add a plop of protein powder as well.
This smoothie recipe is not just incredibly healthy but also incredibly filling as well!
INGREDIENTS:-
- 1 1/2 cup plant-based milk
- 1 banana, frozen
- 5-6 dates, pitted (soaked in warm water for 15 – 20 minutes)
- 1 tbsp nut butter, creamy
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp rolled oats
- 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
- 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:-
- Grind the oats in a blender until it turns to a fine powder.
- Add the remaining ingredients and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into a glass and serve chill.
