Vegan Deep Fried Oreos
How do you make an all-time favourite snack even more indulgent? Simply batter and deep fry until golden and crisp, for a soft and crumbly ball of goodness!
All you need is a handful of ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen. You can also substitute flour with pancake batter.
Here’s how to make this quick and easy decadent treat that is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth :
INGREDIENTS:-
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1 1/4 cup plant-based milk
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 10 oreos
- Oil for frying
INSTRUCTIONS:-
- To a mixing bowl, sift the flour, sugar and baking powder.
- Pour in the milk, vinegar and vanilla extract. Whisk to form a smooth and lump-free batter.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or a pot to 375 degrees F.
- Dip each oreo into the batter and coat all sides thoroughly.
- Gently drop it into the oil and cook for 3-5 minutes or until golden-brown. Transfer to a paper towel covered plate. Repeat for the rest of the oreos.
- Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy it while it’s hot.
