Here’s how to make this quick and easy vegan teriyaki sauce :
INGREDIENTS:-
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup maple syrup or coconut sugar
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried ginger
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
INSTRUCTIONS:-
- Prepare the cornstarch slurry by mixing together cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Heat a small sauce pan over medium-high heat and combine all the ingredients except for the cornstarch slurry.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce to a simmer.
- Pour the cornstarch slurry into the sauce and stir constantly for about 5 minutes or until it starts to thicken.
- Remove from heat and allow the sauce to slightly cool before serving.
